Treating equine pain with mechanical support
In the case of limb trauma, pain is minimized by providing mechanical support. For example, a Robert Jones dressing or a cast can vastly increase the comfort of a patient. Immobilizing the limb in such a way also helps prevent further damage to the affected area.
