Eye problems
Eye problems are commonly presented with the sudden onset of a painful eye. This form of pain is signified by closing of the eyelids, tear overflow and resentment of bright light.
Trauma that damages the surface of the eye will cause an ulcer. To diagnose this, your vet will place a dye onto the cornea and any ulcerated areas will stain positive.
Applying antibiotics to the eye and administration of NSAIDs via the usual routes encourages ulcer healing, minimises pain and prevents infection.
